Rampton Primary School

Play together, learn together, achieve together

Phonics

F1 have been learning initial sounds in objects beginning with s, a, t, p and i. They have been listening for rhyming words and looking at rhyming strings. They sing the hello song and do the sign language for the first letter in the names of children in their group. They have been copying rhythms with body percussion and clapping out syllables in words. This week they will be exploring alliteration.

F2 have learned all of the phase 3 phonemes and now revising these.

Today in phonics we hunted for the tricky words in our outside area. Maddox found the most, he got 5!

We are applying what we have learned in phonIcs during our independent learning time. Can you read what we have written?

We played a keyword bingo game!

The children read the words and matched them to the pictures. It was great seeing them work as a team.
