Numeracy
At Rampton Primary School our intention is to:

equip pupils with a love of mathematics

ensure pupils have a good grasp of the basic 4 operations

develop the ability to reason and solve problems, which are essential for life beyond
school
- develop a ‘can do’ attitude, especially when reasoning and problem solving
We teach using a whole-class mastery approach using Power Maths. Power Maths has been recommended by the DfE and is aligned to White Rose Maths. The problem solving approach helps to spark a curiosity and excitement for mathematics and equips children with deeper understanding.
