Enrich Empower Inspire
Rampton Primary School aims develop the whole child. Our priority is to create conditions to enable every child to stimulate their natural curiosity and apply their creative thinking. Our curriculum has been designed to empower all our pupils to have curious minds and become active, confident, independent learners, giving each child ‘the opportunity to think’ rather than telling them ‘what to think.’ We embrace and celebrate every child’s uniqueness, continually providing opportunities to develop their resilience, knowledge and skills, thus providing them with the cultural capital necessary to live a happy, healthy, truly fulfilling life.
We do this by:
- Providing an environment that will encourage our children to become effective, creative and divergent thinkers.
- Planning learning flexibly and cohesively, ensuring a firm foundation in reading, writing, maths and technology as the basis upon which our children will flourish and be prepared for their future in an ever changing and technologically advancing world.
- Valuing our children as individuals, helping them to develop their self confidence and self esteem enabling them to have future meaningful relationships, whilst demonstrating tolerance to diversity and difference.
At Rampton Primary School, we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for staff, pupils and all those receiving services from the school, irrespective of gender, disability, ethnicity, religion, belief /faith background or sexual identity. The achievement of all pupils will be monitored on the basis of gender and we will use this data to raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching. We will provide our pupils with a firm foundation which will enable them to fulfil their potential, regardless of gender or stereotypes. We will eliminate unlawful discrimination against pupils and staff by adhering to our duties as an employer under the legislation. At Rampton Primary School, we believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here.
Our parents/carers, school staff and governors work closely to create an environment which provides our children with clear expectations regarding behaviour, a positive work ethic and a love of learning – all of which aims to ensure each child is able to reach their full potential.
