Remembrance Day
Wed 23 Nov 2016We held a special assembly on Friday 11th November to mark Remembrance Day. Mr John Millin a resident of Rampton joined us and played his bagpipes before and after the two minute silence. John's father, Mr Bill Millin, marched the soldiers onto Sword Beach in France playing his bagpipes on D-Day.
Bill Millin came to visit Rampton school in 1986 and played his bagpipes for us.
Class 3 and 4 made clay poppies in honour of Remembrance Day.

The Blue Hut
Tue 08 Nov 2016Yesterday we held the grand opening for the Blue Hut. Lyz James came with Lee from West Burton Power Station and we thanked them again for all of their hard work. The Blue Hut looks amazing and we are all excited to use it regularly for clubs and learning. -
The Blue Hut
Thu 21 Jul 2016This week we have had our very own 'DIY SOS' going on at school. On Monday, a fabulous group of volunteer students from The Elizabethan Academy in Retford arrived in school to start a mural on the wall outside the Blue Hut. They worked each day in the heat, adding more and more each day until the mural was finished on Thursday. It is wonderful and the photographs don't do it justice so please come and have a look.
On Wednesday, a group of volunteers from EDF Energy came to decorate the building inside and out. They had previously fitted a kitchen which they kindly donated and it was incredible what they achieved in a day. The Blue Hut has been given a fresh new look and it is nearly ready to use in September.
Thank you so much to all of the volunteers- the difference is amazing.
